Carl Zeiss  is one of the world’s innovation and technology leaders. ZEISS is the inventor of the anti-reflection coating and received a patent for a coating process that minimises the reflection on glass surfaces in 1935. It was subsequently used by ZEISS for the first time in its spectacle lens manufacturing processes. ZEISS was also the first company to manufacture individual, customised varifocal lenses.

The one element that connects all of the episodes of the enterprises long history is amazing precision: it is the accuracy of the image reflection; the fact that everything is broken down to the most minute detail.
